Please help support Blake and his father Brett after his dirt biking accident.
Blake Monie is a hilarious, highly motivated, 8 year old who loves riding his dirt bike with his cousin Marcus ( its his absolute favorite thing!) Over Spring Break - Blake accidentally used a berm as a freestyle ramp and was sent flying 10 feet in the air. He landed on his head and fractured his T4-T7 vertebrae and, as he likes to say, broke his right "pinkie finger".
After 4 days at Children’s Hospital, Blake was released with a full body brace and a cast on his arm. His injuries prevent him from returning to school this year.
Blake needs round the clock care because he must either be flat on his back or in the brace. He’s working hard on getting used to the brace but at this point he cannot tolerate it for more than about an hour each day.
Blake’s father and the family are doing the best they can to arrange schedules so that he has the care that he needs. Unfortunately this will cause severe financial hardship for this family.
Blake's medical bills will be extensive, and although they do have health insurance, there will be huge amounts not covered. The time off of work for Blake's care and medical appoints will also be done without pay.
Any donation that you can make to help with Blake’s medical bills and cost of living expenses would mean the world to this family!
