It is with heavy hearts and unimaginable grief that we share the sudden and tragic passing of a beloved Son, brother and best friend who left us far too soon. Blake will deeply be missed as we all learn how to navigate without him.
If you knew Blake, you know very well that he didn’t just light up a room the moment he walked in, he owned it. He was a light in the lives of everyone who knew him. He was always there when you needed him most. Whether it was a late-night talk, or a helping hand, he gave so much of himself to others without ever expecting anything in return. His infectious laugh, courageous spirit, and selfless heart will be missed by all that had the privilege to know him.
Blake truly changed countless lives for the better during his time as a drug and alcohol technician, operations director, and executive director.
We are all grieving, and our focus is now on honoring him the best way we know how.
The funds raised will go directly to cover:
Celebration of life: To honor Blake's life and legacy with a gathering for friends and family in Libertyville, Illinois on his birthday in November. One last party to have everyone he loved together, in true Blake fashion!
Move-out fees: To help clear out his apartment, the shipment of his belongings back home with his family, as well as additional fees associated with the apartment complex
Cremation services: To help his family with the costs of his cremation and relocating him back to his home in Illinois with his family and friends.
