This is absolutely the hardest thing I have ever had to do. It’s with a broken heart that I share the news of my brother Blake Clifton’s passing. He was in a tragic accident on Sunday morning ending with the loss of his life.
Blake had so many hobbies he loved doing and was always learning about something new and furthering his skill set. He was a veteran, pilot, air traffic controller, cigar aficionado, kite surfer, marathoner, paramotorer and so many more things. He was also an amazing brother, son, boyfriend, colleague and friend to anyone that knew him. If you’ve spent time with Blake, it was always visible how caring he was for the people he loved. He was always asking how he could help others and thinking of others before himself. We are devastated by the loss and are doing our best to get through arrangements that we can share with family and friends. Currently, we expect that he will be cremated and transported to Beaufort, SC for a military honored service. The timing is unknown, but we will keep friends and family updated for arrangements. The family has already received tons of calls and messages about how wonderful of a person Blake was and how much of a positive impact he made on people’s lives.
We’ve organized a GoFundMe page for funeral expenses and to set up memorials in Blake’s name. Everyone has asked what is the best way to help, the most immediate thing you can do is share this post with your favorite story and memory of Blake.
