Teaching Facility Expansion
Building furniture, cabinetry, and other wood pieces is a great passion of mine. It's something I have done professionally and as a hobby for the last 12 years. It is a dream of mine to have a fully operational wood shop for hands-on teaching of woodworking techniques as well as to create pieces for my family and my clients. Woodworking is challenging, fun, and incredibly rewarding. I am passionate about continuing my own developement as a woodworker and I am deeply commited to teaching what I've learned so far to my children and anyone interested in learning.
Woodworking can be a great way to unwind, bond with your kids, or even make a few extra bucks! Working with your hands is teaches a crucial set of skills that is sadly overlooked in our current educational system. I think it is fantastic for people of all ages, but especially young people, to be exposed to some sort of trade or craft. I love to help peopleof all ages experience their first "I made this" moment!
I have spent much time and money working toward this dream and will continue to do so. This GoFundMe will give an opportunity acheive it sooner than I could do on my own!
With your help, I will purchase some additional equipment, tools, and other peripherals I need to have a more functional space in which to work and teach. I hope to make lessons and classes available for individuals or even families to learn specific techniques, design their own creations, or just have something better to do than flip through TV channels!
I've added some rewards levels for those interested in consultations, lessons, etc., but please feel free to choose any amount above or below those values. Every dollar will help! The goal is big, but this thing is scalable. So whether we raise $20 or $20,000, I will be able to use every bit of the money raised to get closer to the goal!
