Our Ancestors Served is our International Cultural Communities Project & Exhibition
Our Ancestors Served... Our 1st project we are working on with all communities.
We need your help to raise £10,000 to support the current project starting in September 2020.
Our first stop is JAMAICA.
Jamaica/Jamaicans have seen action in European Wars since the 1600s
Today Jamaicans, Jamaican culture, Jamaica language has and continues to inspire the world in ways we cannot document.
Our Ancestors Served: Jamaica
Colonial regiment: 1st /2nd West India Regiment & The West India Regiment saw war all over the
West Indies/Caribbean, The Americas , West & East Africa.
This history is NOT limited to the Island of Jamaica and we will show you how it is related to:
•The West Indies
•The Caribbean
•North & South America
•The United Kingdom
•Sierra Leone
•Ghana
•Nigeria
•Ethiopia
•And Many more Countries
You financial contributions will help support us in travelling, researching, documenting and preserving history the ties to our historical legacies.
Our History has ALWAYS MATTERED, we need your to help us spread the narrative all over the world
Your support means everything to BlackPoppyRose as it propels us to keep unearthing and promoting history in such a unique way.
The support will along us to be more flexible within the new perimeters set by the current COVID-19 Pandemic
BlackPoppyRose Est 2010. was started to Educate and Empower all communities about the contributions made to history by the African, Black, West Indian, Caribbean, Aboriginal, Indigenous & Pacific Island communities since the 16th century
Without the support of the community, BlackPoppyRose would not exist today! 10 years later.
We are extremely grateful and honoured from the support we continue to receive whilst we empower and educate all generations all over the world.
To feel proud of a heritage that isn't all about enslavement and the Slave Trade.
To feel empowered about the characters, images, memorabilia that tells a story as to the life and times of our ancestors inspires in undocumented ways.
People of All Ages are able to be proud of their history, heritage and ancestors who fought alongside the world to make the world a better place.
