Blackmon Family Fire Relief
Donation protected

Dear Friends: Between the Carr Fire and the Woolsey Fire in California, I know that you are probably in donation fatigue however a catastrophe has stricken one of our Bergin Screen Printing and Etching (BSPE) employees. Her Vallejo apartment burned down Tuesday night/Wednesday morning (Nov. 13-14) while she was here working on our swing shift. Police speculate a car was set on fire to hide a crime. The perpetrators drove the car into an alley behind our employee’s apartment and set the vehicle on fire which, in turn, set her apartment on fire. She’s a single mom with a 3-year old daughter, no renter’s insurance and no family support system. She’s lost everything except her car and her daughter.
We are currently housing her at a local hotel in Napa but need to get her into permanent housing. She was paying $900/mo. for a studio. We know this is a very tall order in this area but we’re hoping someone may know someone, etc. etc. etc, who has a similar place in a similar price range???? BSPE will provide all the necessary funds to get her moved in. Ideally Vallejo or American Canyon is preferred as she has child care in this vicinity. We are hoping to raise an extra few thousand dollars to help her replace clothing, bedding, groceries and housewares.
If you would like to donate we, and she will be forever grateful. It takes a village.
