Help Me Help Others
My name is James Kaye, and I’m from Blackley, Manchester.
I’m raising money for Harphurhey Neighbourhood Project, a community project that supports young people and adults who are going through difficult times.
The project helps people with things many of us can take for granted — putting food on the table, finding work, getting active through fitness, improving mental wellbeing, and so much more.
That’s why, on 18th August, I’m taking on a challenge that is going to push me both physically and mentally.
I’m cycling from Manchester to Barcelona.
I’ll be documenting the entire journey — the highs, the lows, the miles, the camping, the food, the struggles, the moments when I want to give up, and hopefully the moments that make it all worthwhile.
This challenge is also personal to me. I’ve been through some tough times myself, and I’ve learned that with the right support, a difficult chapter doesn’t have to define your future. Sometimes, all someone needs is a bit of help, someone to believe in them, and a reason to keep going.
That’s what this ride is about.
I’m asking the people of Manchester, and anyone who can spare even a small amount, to help me help others.
You don’t have to donate a fortune. £5, £10 or even £1 could make a difference. And if you can’t donate, simply sharing this fundraiser could help it reach someone who can.
Every mile I ride will be for the people who need a helping hand.
Manchester to Barcelona. One bike. One challenge. One goal — helping people who need it most. ❤️
Please donate if you can, share the fundraiser if you can’t, and follow my journey.
Let’s see what we can achieve together.
Thank you.
