A lot of underprivileged youth live in areas where they don't see necessarily the most positive influences on a daily and in media it can be almost as discouraging being a person of color and not being able to identify to the heroes and stars on TV, not to mention some cannot afford tickets to the movies.
Marvel's Black Panther is one of the few movies cast by a major film studio that has over a 90 percent black cast and shows people of color in a positive light.
I propose that we all come together and ensure that we extend a hand to these kids and provide them tickets to the new movie Black Panther, along with giving each kid a voucher for food/drinks Though it seems like a small jesture to us, it may open up a world of positive thought in each individual kid.
-Provide tickets for 151 kids in a private screening theater as include a drink/popcorn concession credit to enjoy the new Black Panther movie.
-This will be achieved by reaching out to local mentorship programs and schools offering the experience to those interested, leveraging it as a community effort.
-The funds will go towards ticket costs and concession credits.
-We’ll have a series of discussion about the film before/after its viewing as well as extend some encouraging words for the youth to motivate them to continue to do great things.
