BLACK WOMAN BUSINESS TARGETED BY HATE CRIME

Hi, my name is Sydney Blakely. I am the owner of Cook It Mama Cafe in Chicago located at 545 W 31st St. Today is January 4, 2023. 4 days into a new year, when you think of a new year you think of all your future possibilities and new goals to conquer! Never would I have thought today pulling up to open a business I put so much love into would I see such hateful things. BLDM BLDM BLDM BLACK LIVES DON’T MATTER!!!! To be living in 2023 and to see a black business treated so unfairly is heartbreaking! I am literally the sweetest person to encounter, we even have 5 stars on google reviews! I’ve faced racism before but none on this level of hatred! We will be closed for a few days until we can get this HATE CRIME under control. My spirits are crushed, I have put all my life savings into starting my very first business. I am asking for help to recreate the beautiful visuals as before and to purchase a camera and alarm system! Anything you can donate will help. Thank you so much!!!
