Black Sheep: A play by Heidi Park
Donation protected
***UPDATE 4/30/19 - Thank you, thank you. We have far surpassed our goal. We no longer taking donations for Black Sheep. If you really just want to spend your money, please donate to KoRoot, which is a guesthouse in Seoul for Korean adoptees. https://www.korootgh.com/donate. We will see you this weekend!
**UPDATE 3/8/19 - Wow. We have reached our goal in under two days and we couldn't be more grateful. $3k was our bare bones budget - so any extra can help pay everyone more and provide food for rehearsals. Every dollar will be used for this production - thank you for your support.
Heidi Park has written a play! And we are raising money to support the actors, director, rehearsal space, and promotions for this play. This play will also support Heidi - as a first time playwright - as she tells her personal story and journey to Seattle as a Korean adoptee.
Anything you can give will support this play - and be sure to come see it in May!
Quick blurb about the play: Ever since you were a child, have you felt like you were the black sheep of the family? Heidi has. As the only person of color in her white adoptive family, we follow Heidi through her unlikely success at the Minnesota State Fair and her heartbreaking journey in Korea to recover her roots.
When: May 2, 3, 4, 6
Where: 18th & Union (https://18thandunion.org)
Ticket info will be available soon!
