Help Launch a Sustainable Agriculture Hub in Ghana
$4,749 raised of $100K
My name is LeVar Eady, and I am a cultivator who wants to build a legacy while doing something I love. My passion is one shared by my ancestors, and I want to keep that tradition alive. I am a cultivator, scientist, medical professional, and podcaster.
I recently traveled to Ghana and put boots on the ground. This wasn’t a vision trip. It was execution. During that visit, I secured two strategic partnerships with local landholders and community leaders. Those partnerships give us land access, local alignment, and distribution pathways. This project is being built with community, not on top of it. Now we move from positioning to production. We are raising $100,000 to launch Phase 1.
What We’re Building Phase 1 is the foundation of a regenerative agricultural hub that will:
• Grow gourmet mushrooms
• Produce high-value herbs and specialty crops
• Provide paid apprenticeships for youth • Create local jobs
• Build a scalable, export-ready agricultural model
We are starting intentionally small and disciplined. The focus is 1–2 climate-controlled 40-ft mushroom cultivation containers and a limited section of land for herbs and vegetables. Controlled production means weekly harvests, consistent quality, and faster revenue cycles. This is strategic growth. Not hype growth.
Where the $100,000 Goes
Here is the breakdown:
1. Mushroom Production Infrastructure:
• Insulated cultivation containers
• HVAC, humidity control, ventilation
• Interior racking, plumbing, electrical
• Environmental sensors
• Initial substrate and spawn
Giving levels that make this tangible:
• $50 helps cover substrate inputs
• $250 outfits part of a shelving system
• $5,000 sponsors half of a production container.
2. Land Development & Site:
• $100 contributes to irrigation infrastructure
• $500 supports water storage installation
3. Operating Capital (First 6 Months):
• Local wages
• Utilities
• Transportation
• Packaging and distribution
• $200 supports local labor
• $1,000 funds a week of operations
4. Legal & Compliance Export: •readiness compliance
5. Training & Community Programs:
• Paid youth apprenticeships
• Mushroom cultivation workshops
• Post-harvest handling education
• Regenerative agriculture training
• $75 sponsors a day of hands-on training
• $500 funds a week-long skills workshop
Why This Matters Ghana imports many specialty mushroom products while youth unemployment in rural areas remains high. Mushrooms are one of the most capital-efficient high-value crops available. They require minimal land, recycle agricultural byproducts like straw, and produce fast revenue cycles.
This means: • Jobs • Skill transfer • Local food production • Export potential • A scalable model for West Africa Phase 1 is small by design. But it is powerful. Early Momentum Is Critical Fundraisers that gain strong support early are significantly more likely to succeed.
If you are reading this, I am asking you to be part of that first wave. If 1,000 people give $100, we hit the goal. If 200 people give $500, we hit the goal. If 50 people give $2,000, we hit the goal.
Every contribution builds credibility and momentum. Please consider donating today and sharing this campaign with your network. A personal message explaining why you support this project makes a difference.
What You Can Expect:
• Weekly updates with photos and videos from Ghana
• Transparent reporting on how funds are used
• Milestone updates as we move from installation to first harvest
• Public acknowledgment and personal gratitude
This is not a “donate and disappear” campaign. You will see the build happen.
The Bigger Vision: This is about more than mushrooms and produce. It is about ownership. It is about regenerative agriculture. It is about creating opportunity where it is needed. It is about building something sustainable, profitable, and community-rooted. If you believe in long-term impact over short-term optics… If you believe agriculture can empower communities… If you believe we should build what we want to see in the world… Support this campaign. Donate what you can. Share it with someone who believes in building.
Let’s build this the right way.
