At about 12am on Wednesday June 24th, Cherish and their boyfriend were driving from Austin to Conroe, Texas where his family lives. During their drive, they hit a tire on the freeway and spun out of control, crashing head on into a concrete median on the highway. Cherish was rushed to the hospital after their body was plunged onto the airbag and their head slammed onto the dashboard.
The hospital gave them an X-ray because Cherish had very intense pain in their ribs. They then discovered 2 fractured ribs and also obstructions to both their bladder and kidney. They were peeing blood for 3 days. Their boyfriend was more fortunate and only had minor injuries so he did not need to be hospitalised. They were kept hooked up to an IV and on heavy pain killers. Cherish was kept at the hospital for 6 days frequently monitored by the nurses to make sure the blood in their urine went away.
Unfortunately they are back in the ER today with a possible concussion because they only received an x-ray for their ribs, not a cat scan.
It feels to Cherish right now that there is a stormy cloud following them around and that the world is punishing them, but anyone who knows or loves them could tell you that this is only a test of their strength, and that they will conquer and come out of ANY unfortunate situation ever more powerful from any obstacle they are faced with.
We are asking for you to please share, donate and help us boost this very fast. They do not have health insurance and also do not qualify for any unemployment benefits, so they are also currently facing risk of eviction and are struggling with keeping their self fed. To everyone donating or reading; Thank you, please keep Cherish Spears in your heart and prayer for their health and strength.
