For those of you who knew Kati, you are grateful you did. Her zest for life and adventurous spirit was unmatched. Among many of her passions, was her love for reading books. Black Heart Books is an initiative to share that love via book boxes along the well-known Mariner’s Trail that stretches from Manitowoc to Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

These book boxes will be stocked with books of all reading levels that are available to be borrowed at no cost. We simply ask that the books be returned to any of the book boxes located along the trail once the reader is finished with the book. 

Funds raised will be used to build and maintain book boxes, as well as keep them stocked with boxes when/if needed. Any additional funds will be used for whatever Travis, The Lorge and Kuether families wish.
