You will be a part of history in the making! The making of the reignition of self-love within the black community! You will be helping to provide a platform that celebrates black hair!

 
There is a reason why African Americans spend an average of 1.5 trillion dollars per year on hair…

 
African descendants love of hair isn't just about hair, it is a representation of our lost history. Although we've lost or history, our history had never left us…it  had been woven within our DNA and has always been apart of us. Each time we pick up a comb to style our hair, our ancestors speaks to us, to communicate the love, the strength, and  the value our hair possess.

 
 Historically our hair represented our status in society and/or the tribe we belonged to. Our hair served as a means of survival when food was place within our braids to feed us on our journey. Our hair braiding pattern served as road maps to escape the harshness of slavery. Our hair roots also serves as the DNA map that was always there to guide us back to our true home.

 
                                           But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
                                           Fear not therefore: you are of more value than many sparrows.

 
I believe that the key to black love is rooted within the love of our hair. Join me on this journey to reignite self-love within the black community by downloading, donating and sharing the love.

Where will the money go/ used for?

 

 The funds will be used for further creations, enhancements and research for the app such as

-gps creation. Creating an "uber" for hair, where we will be uniting hair dressers of all levels with hair clients. Offering services at varying affordability scales while uniting our community. Other enhancements include;

 

 -3D modeling artist
-Programming team
-Advertising
-UI-improvement
-Website creation and update
-More "HairduKation" research
-More Self-Love research
-Community Outreach
 
-More HairKonfidence ;)


Community Outreach

 
My future vision for HK is to give back to the community while uniting the community. We will be reaching to local beauty schools and public schools. HK will go into local schools to educate brown girls about their hair history and to teach hair care regiments that will promote healthy hair growth and consequentially boost self "Konfidence."

An after school club will be offered to share this knowledge along with free hair care products samples and how to create natural products at home.

Hair Konfidence is the world's first AR African American hair styling app. HairKonfidence recognizes that within our black community hair is more than just hair, it is a representation of our rich history that is rooted back to our ancestors. The goal of HairKonfidence is to reignite the love of our African textured hair by providing a platform to view our textured hair in a more loving way. Through our HK platform we aim to regrow our Hair Confidence, one root at a time.

 

 

I had a dream…

 

No, I am not related to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, lol however, HairKonfidence started in 2018 after waking up from a dream. The dream was so inspirational it directed the path towards the App you see today. HairKonfidence aims to build self-love throughout the black community by providing a platform for us to access our hair and be educated about the roots of our hair history.

 

 

Why we only focus on coil textured hair…

 

Well, if we don't focus on our own coils then who else will, lol…but seriously… We are now starting to recognize that we were born crowned and it’s now time to proudly wear it.
