We grew up in Germany’s Black Forest, but only met in Brooklyn. As a tribute to our love we opened Black Forest Brooklyn in 2013. Over the last 7 years we have worked with and met so many amazing people, as the community embraced our two restaurants as the living room of the neighborhood.
As you all know, due to the coronavirus outbreak we had to temporarily shut our doors last week and lay off our entire hourly staff, over 40 people, many of which have been with us since the beginning. Our team is the heart and soul of Black Forest Brooklyn, and the thought that they might not be able to live and pay their bills really breaks our heart!
