Award Winning Canadian Designer George Sully's Black Designers of Canada Platform for Canadian Creatives Goes Full Force

It's been four impactful years since the inception of Black Designers of Canada, my brainchild aimed at amplifying and showcasing the often-overlooked talents of Black designers. With the invaluable support of our community, we've evolved into the definitive destination for discovering and celebrating Canadian Black design creatives.

Over the past two years, we've pushed beyond the confines of our online platform, delving into real-world, on-the-ground experiences that have beautifully complemented our digital presence. While the accolades and recognition have been heartwarming, with some media outlets even labeling our efforts as history-making, what we truly need is more substantial support in the form of infrastructure, consistency, and active support on the ground—elements that can all be bolstered with increased financial backing.

While I am constantly hunting for sponsorship opportunities, finding the right sponsor willing to support long-term has proven difficult but is the ultimate goal. Until then, I'll do whatever it takes if it means fulfilling the ultimate goal of fully amplifying the voice and talent of extraordinary designers I've met throughout the country. This is far from the end-all, be-all, but I was raised with the notion that every little bit counts.”

This appeal for support is particularly urgent in March, a month that underscores our continuous commitment to supporting Black designers throughout the year, not just during the spotlight of February. This is a clarion call for action, not a redirection of our mission. I invite you to join us in our unwavering dedication to celebrating and honoring our Black creatives every single day of the year. Your contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant impact. Visit today and donate to Black Designers of Canada, ensuring that our mission to uplift and empower Black designers remains steadfast and unwavering.
