Our craft beer business has seen tremendous support this past year and you all have carried us into 2021.
The new upcoming stimulus leaves us in a complicated position. Venues are allowed to apply for PPP2 or Save Our Stages, but not both. Because we were able to hold shows outside last year we are at the back of the line for Save Our Stages grants, but it would be the better option. PPP2 is almost a guarantee for funding with improved processes in place, but it's designed to support us for 6-8 weeks and is still not even close to enough to get us back in the black.
We have turned the Black Circle taproom into a canning operation to have some self-sustaining options. That leaves us with Loom to run retail sales out of until we get the all clear.
Our overhead doubled one week before the shutdown with the opening of Loom. Each week we need to come up with $5,000 minimum to pay everyone and keep the lights on.
We have delivery options on the website including fresh house made beer, merch, gift cards, etc. We would love for your support to yield you some reward as well, but many people have asked for a direct donation option having stocked their fridges with beer all winter.
It's not easy to ask for help, but I want to assure you that any purchases or donations are going directly to sustaining us through this first quarter to get us to the other side of this mess.
We can not ever thank you enough for your support, but we will give it a try!
Cheers to another year together.
