Black Belt in the Holy Land

Two years ago we watched Huck go through the long haul to become a Brown Belt in Kung Fu. This summer he has the opportunity to test for his Black Belt... in Jerusalem!
His Grand Master, Jacob Lunon, was Huck's sifu from the time he began training at age 7 until a few years ago when he moved to Israel. At that time he passed the daily operations of the school to Huck's current sifu, Kimberly Bowen, but he has yet to pass the testing of the black belts on to her. We were trying to figure out how to get Jacob here to test Huck when Kimberly suggested taking Huck to Jacob instead, and she has agreed to take Huck with her to visit the Holy Land in June.
This is at once thrilling and terrifying -- what an amazing place to be! -- how hot will it be? -- who will be his sparring partners? Huck will be stepping out of his comfort zone and into the grueling multi-day endurance march of a Black Belt test in a totally foreign place; it is a right of passage we could not have dreamed up, just a couple of months before his 16th birthday.
Here's the pickle: he could get a job to pay for the trip, but if he did that he wouldn't have time to train for his test. For the past two years Huck has been practicing Kung Fu 4-6 days/week, this is not the time to slow it down. So he's asking for a little help. He has some savings from birthdays and Christmases but would prefer not to spend it all, which the plane ticket alone would do. We figured he could do some odd jobs for you all if you have them for him (just get in touch!), and we'll set up a little GoFundMe page too. At the very least you will know the big thing he is about to do and you can wish him well as he trains and prepares.
