My name is Jocelyn and my high school choral arts program is having a once-in-lifetime opportunity to travel to Italy for a week where we will be singing at the Vatican as well as in Rome, Florence, and Venice!
The only thing is, we have to pay our own way there. While I am a working high school student, I won't be able to save enough on my own to be able to afford the trip. My parents can only help a little because my dad was recently laid off from his job. Also, because I am a Type 1 Diabetic, most of what they can spare goes to pay for my medical supplies.
The money raised will cover the cost of the roundtrip airfare, hotels, transportation around Italy, and some meals.
There are several payment deadlines I need to meet in order to be able to go on this trip. The first one is May 1, when I have to make the deposit to secure my place. The remaining balance needs to be paid in three installments by August 25, September 30, and finally November 1. Of course, if I can raise all the funds sooner and take care of this all at once, the better it is. But these are the absolute final deadlines.
I absolutely love to sing. It is my passion and I'm grateful for the chance to sing with my school's incredible choral arts program. But the opportunity to sing abroad—particularly in Italy and especially at the Vatican—is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a dream that could come true with your help.
I would be immeasurably thankful for your generous contribution, no matter how large or small. Every little bit helps.
I will send you pictures with personal notes from my trip. And, if it's available, I will even post some video of our group singing. I will even make a personal "thank you" video incorportating pictures from the trip and messages from me for my biggest contributors.
