A couple of years ago, my family learned that our youngest daughter, Elizabeth, and her husband, James, were expecting twins! They already had a precious little girl who was born at the beginning of COVID. When my daughter was pregnant with her first baby, she had the usual morning sickness and such, but being pregnant with twins was quite the ride. She was violently ill for most of the pregnancy which included throwing up multiple times a day for almost 9 months. James wound up quitting his job because Elizabeth was unable to fully care for their 18-month old due how sick she was. (Thankfully, God had blessed them with financial wisdom, and they had savings to offset the momentary lapse in regular pay.)
The beautiful babies arrived, and the family rallied to help as much as possible. If you have had one baby, you understand what it is to care for a newborn; multiply the needs by two - you get the picture. Lots of work but so much love and joy!! However, not long after their arrival Elizabeth began to experience dental issues that their insurance does not cover.
Giving birth to twins coupled with months of acid destroys your enamel. So here I am. Asking for help for my sweet girl and her family. She has already had so much dental work to repair the damage caused by the acid, but she needs so much more work done. For example, she is having one root canal and crown over the next week which is going to cost her close to $3k for one tooth! And, she has already have a couple done with several more that needs to be done. Elizabeth has always taken care of her teeth, but the lack of enamel and the nutrients used by the twins has created an serious and difficult situation.
Financially, the Sacketts are very responsible. James works hard and is in school (graduates 12/2024!). But, they have not been able to save like they used to because having three Littles is expensive. I am reaching out on their behalf to see how we can rally to offer this precious family some relief.
Thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and whatever God might lay on your heart to donate.
(All funds will go directly to Elizabeth's dental bills.)
