Please Help Save Buster’s Life
Donation protected
Buster is our 2 year old cattle dog mix. He started acting lethargic and had a decreased appetite so we brought him to the vet. When his bloodwork came back our vet called us to tell us he needed a blood transfusion immediately. His hematocrit was so low, he should have already been dead, but our boy is a fighter.
We rushed him to the hospital where they gave him a blood transfusion and started extensive testing to find out the cause of his extreme anemia.
The doctors believe he has Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia, an auto immune disorder where his body is attacking his red blood cells. Once we complete the necessary tests to find the underlying cause we are committed to saving his life. The diagnostic tests and treatment will be at least $5,500. He will be hospitalized for the next 3-5 days. We know our boy is a fighter and that he can pull through this; we do not want to consider euthanasia despite the cost of these procedures. If you can help us, we would be incredibly grateful.
