Hello everyone ,
My name is Kally and this fund is set up to help support my oldest brother Matthew and his family during this difficult time.
Matthew is 35 years old with a wife and two kids under the age of five. Last week, Matthew was not feeling well. While getting ready to go to the doctor, he lost consciousness and had to be brought by ambulance to the hospital. In addition to his congestive heart failure symptoms, his speech was extremely slurred & movement on his right side was very limited. After tests, it was determined he sufferered a stroke.
He's currently at Terrebone General hospital with a variety of complications. He has difficulty speaking, was required to put a feeding tube, is on oxygen, and has pneumonia. He also is unable to sit for long periods or stand up. His prognosis has not been determined, but he does have a long road of recovery ahead. Once he is stable, he will be moved to a rehabilitation center for further treatment.
Matthew has been out of work for the past few months due to his CHF and diabetes. This has unfortunately left him and his wife without insurance & most of their income. He has been fighting with Medicaid and Social security for benefits throuughout this time with no success. His wife is now unable to work as well as she cares for him and their children.
This fund Will be used to help cover medical costs, travel and living expenses, & Basic needs for the family. Any donations are greatly appreciated and will be put to the best use possible. Thank you for listening, for your prayers, and support.
