I am Mayra Mejia and I am Romeo’s aunt. I am creating this GoFundMe for my nephew Romeo and my sister Erika to ask for your support for Romeo — who recently became the victim of a senseless act of gun violence.

Romeo sustained a gunshot wound that caused extensive damage to his abdominal area. He has already undergone surgeries and is now facing a long and challenging road to recovery. His journey will involve ongoing medical treatments, rehabilitation, and time to heal — physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Romeo is being cared for by his incredible mother, who is doing everything she can to support him and his siblings during this unimaginably difficult time. The emotional and financial toll on their family is overwhelming.
