Hello everyone! This is Sam Deetjen, Drew Harris, Tommy Jacobs, Evan Klein and Fintan Swift, and together, we make up Strong and Wrong Productions. We are thrilled to announce that we will be putting up a production of Green Day's American Idiot this upcoming spring.
American Idiot is a musical based on Green Day's punk rock album of the same name, which tells a story of self discovery in an extreme political climate. Written at the time of George Bush's election, this story is extremely relevant today, as we are all struggling to find who we are and what we want to become in this world, especially when we're surrounded by a big political mess.
Unfortunately, we cannot put up this production by ourselves and that's why we are here today. We are needing to raise $2,500 for the cost of the licensing and the theater and with your support, we will be able to do that. Any amount helps, even $5 would be so wonderful. We feel that during this time art is one of the most important things in this world and we hope that with this production, we are able to help others find their way as much as we are finding ours.
