Help Eric pay for expensive car repair

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Eric, I'm 38 and between September 2023 and April 2024, I had been a caregiver for my mother and grandmother. My mom has multiple sclerosis, diabetes and has very minimal mobility. She relies on her walker to be able to move and she needs me to help her get out of bed, bathe & dress her and more. My grandma is in at-home hospice and has cancer and dementia. Her mobility has also declined heavily over the past year and relies on her walker to walk.

Over the past four years, our family has been dealing with many issues that has led to depression. My older brother was killed in a work accident in May of 2020. My niece was born with DiGeorge Syndrome, a congenital heart condition and has had multiple surgeries and lived her first whole year in a hospital. Both of my uncles have been diagnosed with cancer. One of my two uncles was also ultimately diagnosed with Aspergers and early onset dementia. I also had to deal with my beloved dog of ten years having an emergency euthanasia after waking up with a freak neurological episode. All of this occurring on the heals of the global coronavirus pandemic and a decade plus relationship with my partner ending which had caused me a lot of anxiety and depression.

Before moving back in with my mother, I lived 1,800 miles away from all of my family in Phoenix. I quit my job as a medical biller to do DoorDash full time so I could travel home at anytime to help my family and not have to worry about being fired from my job. I then moved my life back to Indiana six months ago to help my mother and grandma full-time with the understanding that Medicaid would pay me as a full-time caregiver.

Medicaid, however, did not pay me. They denied my mother coverage after we gathered several documents, made several hour long phone calls to various companies and agencies to gather information over the span of two months to get her signed up. After all the time we spent running in circles, we were finally able to provide Medicaid everything they needed. Promptly after this, they sent my mother a rejection letter. My mother had to pay me out of pocket to keep me afloat while being their caregiver.

After this, I moved back to Phoenix and started working at Amazon, making a modest income. I took my used car my car to get an alignment and was informed that the suspension needed to be completely redone, everything would have to be replaced, struts, arms, etc. The total for this repair would be $6,000. Money I didn't have. I've had to replace 7 tires total in a year because the alignment is so bad.

I'm asking for help to fund the repair for my car or to help pay off the negative equity in the car (which is also around $6,000) so I can buy a new one.

Thank you in advance for your help.
