Ryan & Leah Mission Trip to Africa

Dear Family and Friends, 

Ryan and Leah are raising money in order to go on a mission trip to Mozambique Africa this coming summer. Below is why each of us would love to go on this unique and life changing experience and how you can help!

Leah’s Story:

My mom went on a trip to Mozambique in 2006, and it has been on my heart ever since. I could not be more excited that I am able to make this trip back with my mom, along with my boyfriend, Ryan. I am currently working as a behavior therapist in Phoenix, while Ryan teaches special education in Fort Collins, Colorado. We are both passionate about helping children, and are hoping to be able to use our skills to help The Ray of Light Project.

Ryan’s Story:

While in high school I was fortunate enough to go on two mission trips in the United States. It was truly eye opening to see God's work in action, and it left me wanting to do more. As a special education teacher I now have the amazing opportunity to use my skills to work with both teachers and students in Mozambique at the the Ray of Light Project. Along with my girlfriend, Leah who has a similar background, we are excited to use our God given passion to help children who need it most.

For two weeks in July we will be living in Dondo, ministering in many ways:

The Tessa Grace Nutrition Center serves to save the lives of malnourished babies and ministers to their mothers. Project Life ministers to those affected by AIDS through food distribution and Bible studies.

El Shaddai Christian School offers Christ-centered education to over 900 children—giving them a head start to a better future. We are excited about this journey, but we cannot do it alone. By April 15th we need to each raise $3500 to cover the cost of our airplane ticket and in-country expenses while living in Mozambique. Any size gift would be appreciated.

We are both looking forward to stepping out of our comfort zone, to learn to care for those in great need. We are eager to see how God will increase our faith and compassion.
