Bjorn’s car accident vet bill

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tenaya and I am raising funds for my cousin’s (George) dog (Bjorn).
Bjorn is a 5 year old staff cross, and really just a big baby who loves everything and everyone.
On Saturday, 13th June at 11:50am approximately, George was standing on the side of the road trying to retrieve Bjorn, however unfortunately a car did not see Bjorn and hit him. Bjorns head and two front legs were run over by the left hand front and rear tyres. Bjorn has extensive damage to his mouth, front left leg, and possible right ribs. Bjorn is currently being monitored at Cessnock Vet and soon to be transported to Broadmeadow emergency so he can be monitored over night, we will not know the amount of damage or exact cost until Bjorn is stable enough to be put to sleep and have X-rays and further testing done.
We have been told some heartbreaking stories of vet bills and are hoping to lessen the financial stress and/or emotional stress of having to refuse treatment if the cost is unaffordable.

I am asking for anyone, if they are in a position to donate to help get this boy healthy and back home could donate please do so, If you are not in the position to donate please share this page so we can try and help a family in need at this time.

I will be sure to update on diagnoses and quotes when I hear.

thank you ❤️

An update on Bjorn for anyone that has donated on following to see his outcome ❤️ update from the vet 14/06/2026 10:30pm. Waiting on an update this morning.

He has a wound on face requiring stitches.
A couple of badly fractured teeth that require removal.
Area of concern front part of his mouth possibly fractured need a smaller X-ray to access at normal vet. But is able to open and close his mouth.
Haematoma in his mouth but not obstructing airways.
Chest is clear. Heart and lungs look good.
Front right leg non weight bearing, no obvious fractures, no surgery for now. Because not walking concern of nerve damage. Can sometimes recover from this with physio after a week or two or few months. Risk of him not regaining function in that leg which will then require amputation. But for now physio and see how he recovers.
Open wound but doesn’t go into the joint in front right leg.
If eating they will put him on pain relief and he can him be taken to family vet for his teeth removal and smaller X-ray to have a look at his jaw.
