Help Björn the British Bulldog live
Donation protected
Björn came to us with health complications but we wanted to give this sweet pup the best possible life and help him live as long as possible. We took him on knowing that he had a high grade 4 to 5 heart murmur. Unfortunately the scans showed that he is suffering from a PDA. It is one of the most common congenital heart defects in dogs and creates an abnormal flow of blood from the aorta to the pulmonary artery resulting in congestive heart failure, and thus causing an early death 12 to 18 months max and he is already 10 months old. This blood vessel is crucial in the womb and should close naturally at birth but in Björns case it has remained open and presents a real danger.
Heart surgery is now the only option but comes with a hefty price tag of £4000 to £7000. This is an amount that is truly out of our reach and reluctantly are asking for help to save Björns life. He is an absolutely amazing little bulldog full of love and character, who is truly adored by everyone who meets him. Unfortunately we are not in a financial situation to be able to pay but desperately want to save his life and help him live a full happy life.
We can't wait to hopefully see Björn live his life to the fullest and play as at the moment if he over exerts himself he collapses due to the strain on his heart.
After Björns, heart is fixed (hopefully we manage to raise money in time) we are then able to fix his Hernia and Cherry Eyes which he can't have done as he won't survive the operation.
Should people be gracious enough to donate, then if anything raised exceeds the cost of surgery the remaining will be donated to pet charity's who do amazing things for other pups just like Björn.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, but more importantly Björns heart.
