Baby Max’s Medical Bills

Baby Max is 3 months old and got a cold his first week in daycare. Within 12 hours our sweet happy baby went from having a simple dry cough to not being able to breathe on his own. He has been diagnosed with bronchiolitis and we are now on Day 3 in the Pediatric ICU at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite.

Max has a feeding tube, an IV, breathing treatments and constant suctioning. He is also on a RAM nasal cannula with a ventilator attached to push the air better into his lungs since his airways are so inflamed. We have had to go up on his breathing support multiple times already and Max's medical team says we are definitely not over the worst of it yet!

Nathan and I are taking turns being by his bedside and don't know how long we will need to be taking a leave of absence from work. We have a high deductible on our insurance and honestly can't even think about the total of Max's medical bills. Nathan owns his own business and I had just returned from medical leave for Max's birth. Like so many other people who have been in our situation we know we can't face this on our own and need to ask for financial help. Any amount is appreciated.
