Original post below but here is a quick update
7 races canceled between 2020 and 2021… Was able to get my bike, watch, wetsuit, a coach for a bit and went through a lot of running shoes:) Lost out on some non refundable travel expenses along with some entry fees.
Ready to get back at it and hoping that 2022 is my year to complete the official Full distance Ironman
Life goal coming in fast! This race is a 2 mile swim, 100 mile bike ride and 26 mile run. I will be scheduling a minimum of three smaller races to prepare for the Ironman 140.3 I have learned very quickly that this is an expensive goal with entry fees around $800, bikes costing $1,200 -$16,000, and everything else that comes with this sport (lodging,shoes, food, miscellaneous gear and services). With that being said,I will be shopping for a lower end bike that will still allow me to complete the race I have had this goal for many years in the back of my head and it is time to make it happen! Thank you in advance for any donations! I will keep you posted on my first purchase which will be a bike so that I can train. Once the bike is purchased I will start setting a date for the race.
