On Sunday the 16th of January a tragedy occurred and the lives of so many were forever changed. A family lost their son, siblings lost their brother. Friends lost their mate. He was a wonderful person, very kind and caring to all. 

Just twenty years old, at the center of an extensive search in Mareeba, Luke was located by divers in the late afternoon.
The last 2 years has been extremely difficult for the McDonald family, with Luke’s father Christian only recently overcoming a rare disease GBS ( Guillain-Barré syndrome) which left him hospitalised at CBH in ICU for most of 2020. With the family already emotionally & financially drained we would like to help ease some of that pain.
