Micky Cocker

My name is Elaine, and I'm raising money to help with the funeral expenses of Micky Cocker.

It isn't easy to sum up in a few words who Micky was and what she meant to her friends in the author community. She gave her time generously. Micky was so supportive of the authors she worked with. She was an alpha reader, a beta reader, and helped run The Kurtherian Gambit Authors and Readers group and various other groups. Many of us wouldn't have the careers we have if it hadn't been for her. Micky was also the smiling, helpful face at the check-in desk for every 20Books conference.

Micky didn't write, but she was every bit as important to the author community as the authors. We'll miss her terribly.

She was a beautiful person. I was proud and honored to call her my friend.

If Micky touched your life, you were the better for it. Let's give back and help to give her the send-off she deserves.
