Burial of a soldier
Donazione protetta
Thomas Alan Gartner III was my only child and only son and passed away early Thursday morning in San Diego California of an apparent heart attack. It’s such a shock to lose it only child and have to bury him. He was a honorably discharged And 100% Disabled veteran who served in Iraq for 15 months. He would have wanted a military funeral and we are determined to give him that as his final wishes. The veterans administration will be taking care of the burial and interment at the Veterans Memorial cemetery in Glenville Georgia. There will be costs and getting his body back from San Diego to Hinesville Georgia where he grew up as a child and young adult. Also the cost of the funeral the casket and other expenses I’m sure.I’m know we do have to pay upfront initially to begin to bring his body back home. To his family friends and people he served with in the military and your help would be a great help for us accomplishing those things as he did want to be buried back home in Georgia and have a military funeral. He also leaves two children behind so keep them in your prayers as well. Please pass this around to all who knew Alan so that they can get in contact with me and can pay their respects as they are able. Funeral arrangements will be pending until we know when we can transport the body back home and make the final preparations. We’re trying to raise to cover the various cost so all your prayers and support are much appreciated.
