Hello everyone!!

My name is Amanda Gowen and I work as a vet tech at Ridge Animal Hospital. Yesterday, we had a really sad case come into the hospital that we could use your help with. Yesterday morning, I received a call about a puppy who had most likely been hit by a car and was unable to use his back leg or stand up on his own. The puppy came into the clinic and after radiographs and a full exam, he was found to have a femoral fracture in his left hind leg along with some superficial scrapes and wounds. The recommendation was corrective surgery with either a pin or a plate, which would cost around $2000-$2500. Unfortunately due to the cost of the surgery the owner opted to put the poor puppy down. My coworker and I couldn't let that happen, as he is a 12-week-old puppy, he's got so much life to live, not to mention he is literally the sweetest boy in the world. The owner decided to surrender him to us. He's currently being cared for temporarily, but we have to figure out a plan for him before Monday, or we may have to put him down as that was what was discussed with the previous owner. We are keeping him comfortable with pain meds and caring for him at the clinic, but he desperately needs this surgery, and our clinic isn't set up to keep pets long-term. If you or anyone you know could donate, not only would we greatly appreciate it, but little Charlie would too!! No amount is too small, and if you can't donate, please share so we can hopefully reach our goal!!

Thanks so much!
