BJ ... Gone way to soon
Donation protected
It was a cold Tuesday night, December 13. BJ was having chest pains that he thought was part of a panic attack. He called his wife Erin and shared with her what was happening. Unsure of what he should do, he made the decision to call 911.
The EMS relayed this story to Erin:
The local EMS is just 1 block away. They made it to BJ’s house within minutes of his call .
BJ met the ambulance in the drive way of his home at which point he began telling them his symptoms. Seconds after telling them his symptoms, his eye’s rolled in the back of his head and he (in EMS terms) crashed. They quickly began to work on him bringing him back. Once they reached the hospital (which only took minutes), he crashed again. The ER staff worked vigilantly on BJ for an hour & a half.
Erin raced to the hospital and was allowed to stay with BJ as they worked on him. Friends came to stand with Erin and pray ~ BJ would get a pulse & then again it would stop. This pattern went on and they refused to give up in hopes that his young 46 year old heart was strong enough to come back. As we know he is such a bulldog. After 90 min. they realized they were not going to be able to bring BJ back. His heart just couldn’t do it.
We are all in shock … can’t believe this can happen to someone so young. Many of BJ & Erin’s friends and family have been asking how they can help. As I sat with Erin, who is still in shock of losing her soulmate, she said she doesn’t know how she is going to do this.
I told Erin we are setting up this page so those friends and family of BJ’s near and far can help in any amount they can spare. She was very humbled by the offer and began to cry again.
As most of us know BJ, let me share for those of who don’t, a little about this one-of-a-kind guy.
He was a good friend, a best friend, a husband, a father, a son and an uncle all in one. He was this to SO many different people and to one extremely strong woman! He told you how shit is! He was NOT fake! He had a very hard shell but when you get to know him; he gets to know you he is a damn teddy bear and one awesome person!!! He would do what he can to help you! REST IN PEACE B.j. Bynum you will always be in our hearts, in our thoughts, in our minds and always be that smart ass that we ALL LOVE!! YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!!! You were way too young!
Erin has lost her ROCK, her soul-mate, the love of her life. They worked years to build thier house. Lets help her save the house that she and BJ built.
Any amount you can give at this time would be so greatly appreciated. This will be used to help offset the funeral arrangements and help with the bill’s coming in. We are hoping she can refinance the house to continue to live there.
