BJ and Family

I’ve had the fortune of knowing this family for 20 years. These 3 beautiful children belong to BJ, my pseudo nephew. Avery (9) Tatum (7), and Haley (7). Just over 2 years ago, these children lost their Momma to brain cancer. She was 32 years old. Life hasn’t been easy for this family since. BJ juggling working to support his family and now a single dad to 3 kids. Just when things are starting to get back to normal, the unimaginable happens.

Last week, BJ got a phone call from his sons’ teacher telling him that Tatum had collapsed and was unresponsive. He was rushed to a hospital in Calgary and was

found to have had a ruptured brain aneurysm. He has already undergone 1 brain surgery and will require at least one more. He is currently in a medically induced coma to allow for the swelling in his brain to subside. His surgery went well, but they are looking at a long road ahead.

As his only parent, BJ is staying at Tatum’s bedside tirelessly while family and friends try to make life as close to normal as they can for the girls. Pray for this little boy and please
