Bitzer's fight for life

On Monday, August 7, Bitzer was admitted to the hospital after suddenly becoming very sick without any clear cause. The vet diagnosed him with acute liver failure and told Ben and Elizabeth that if they had brought him in any later, there would have been no hope of survival.

He's been in critical condition since Monday, but has stabilized for now. With some additional full-time hospital care, there's still a chance that Bitzer's liver could heal and he could survive.

This level of emergency medical care comes with a significant cost, so we wanted to help support Ben and Elizabeth in their wish to keep fighting for Bitzer as long as possible.
