Bitcoin Ekasi is a great organization that is helping kids in the South African township of Ekasi to find activity and meaning in sports like Surfing and Skating. In addition, many of these kids and their parents are lacking economic opportunity in part because they are unbanked, meaning they can never save the fruits of their labor in a safe bank account or currency. Bitcoin Ekasi teaches these kids the potential of Bitcoin to bank themselves and become economically active.
