Bishopston Cricket Club: Practice Nets

Bishopston Cricket Club currently has over 300 playing members (Senior and Youth). With a club as large as ours it is imperative that we provide adequate Practice Facilities, especially with the Youth contingent (of which there are 70+ girls). With plans to grow the club further over the next two seasons, with a 5th Saturday side and the launch of Bishopston CC Ladies, our Practice Nets are in desperate need of replacement.

The nets are over 20 years old, falling to pieces and becoming a health and safety concern. In addition, our Landlord is planning on extending the Clubhouse facility into the nets area, meaning regardless of condition they need to be relocated. The responsibility for replacing and relocating the nets sits with the club.

We are progressing with Grant Applications for funding, but there are no guarantees we will be successful and there will be an element of 'self-funding' regardless of success.

To assist us in raising funds we are asking for donations from members, social members, parents and friends of the club. The club will continue to work hard exploring Grant opportunities, but any kind donations would be really appreciated!
