BISHOP LUFFA PROM 2025 FUNDRAISER

The Bishop Luffa Prom is a much cherished event for our Year 11 students, marking the end of their compulsory education with a night to remember. Each year, we strive to create a magical and memorable evening that is accessible to all our students by keeping ticket prices significantly lower than other schools in the area. Despite the challenges of rising costs, we have managed to deliver an outstanding event on a shoestring budget through fundraising, generous donations from our school community, and negotiating with suppliers.

Five years ago, we used to host the Prom in the Bartlett Hall, which often resulted in a cramped and short-lived evening. However, the 2020 Prom, held outside due to lockdown, introduced a new tradition of using a marquee. This venue better suits the efforts and expenses that go into each student's preparation for the big night and exceeds their expectations.

Unfortunately, the PFA committee has dwindled in numbers, making it difficult to secure more time and efforts for fundraising solely for the Prom. The funds ringfenced for the Prom have decreased each year, and we need to boost them considerably. Given the pressures of GCSEs, we do not want to burden our Year 11 students with fundraising responsibilities.

Thankfully, some parents and carers in our school community are willing to make financial contributions to help narrow the gap between costs and available funds. This has led to the creation of this GoFundMe page. There is no obligation to donate, but any contribution would be greatly appreciated by all involved in this event and by our Year 11 students. Donations can be anonymous, and we respectfully request that UK taxpayers select the Gift Aid option when donating to boost the amount contributed.
