£120 raised of

Bishop Auckland Stroke Rehabilitation Unit

The Visual Neuropsychology research group in the Department of Psychology at Durham University are currently organising a community fundraiser and collection in support of the Stroke Rehabilitation Unit at Bishop Auckland Hospital, part of the County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, with whom we work closely.

Our aim is to raise funds for essential medical equipment and collect toiletries and craft supplies for patients undergoing stroke rehabilitation. At present, some staff members are personally purchasing basic toiletry items to ensure patients have access to everyday essentials. Additionally, due to limited WiFi and mobile signal within the hospital, patients often have few distractions during what can be a long recovery period. Simple craft materials and activity supplies can make a meaningful difference to cognitive/motor recovery and overall wellbeing.

We are proud to be supporting local healthcare services and would greatly appreciate your involvement in helping us make a tangible difference to patients and their families.
