Biserica Ortodoxa Română Ștefan cel Mare restaurare vitralii
Dear friends and supporters,
We invite you to join us in our efforts to preserve the precious heritage of the Romanian Orthodox Church of Saints Stephen the Great and Nectarios in Oshawa, which serves our small yet very active Romanian community in the Durham region, Ontario, Canada.
Our church, with over a century of history, is a symbol of faith, hope, and tradition, but like any historic monument, it requires maintenance and repair to ensure its longevity. One of our most cherished elements are the stained glass windows, which not only bring beautiful light but also protect the murals that tell the stories of our faith and culture.
Over time, weather-related wear has left its mark on these delicate stained glass windows. Some have cracks, others have lost their shine, but all continue to inspire and bring joy to those who enter the church. We believe it is our duty to protect and maintain them for future generations.
With your generous support, we aim to undertake a crucial project to replace the windows and maintain the stained glass. Your donation will directly contribute to purchasing high-quality materials, hiring skilled artisans, and ensuring that every detail is treated with the utmost care and reverence.
Every contribution, regardless of its size, will have a significant impact on our ability to preserve the church's heritage and continue to serve our community with pride and devotion.
Your support will not only help maintain our physical space but also support our spiritual and cultural foundation.
We need help because our community is too small for such a big undertaking, but with the support of our donors, we will succeed.
The Church of Saints Stephen the Great and Nectarios is registered as a charity with the Canada Revenue Agency. Canadian donors will receive tax receipts for a tax credit. Donations can be made directly on the church's website https://www.sfstefancelmare.com, using PayPal, debit, or credit card.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity, and for believing in the enduring power of the Romanian community.
Together, we can ensure that the Orthodox Church in Oshawa remains a beautiful and holy place, housing the relics of Saint Nectarios, the patron saint of those battling cancer, offering hope and healing to all who seek solace within the church's walls.
May God multiply the gifts of health, prosperity, and fulfillment!
With gratitude from the depths of our hearts,
The Romanian Orthodox Church of Saints Stephen the Great and Nectarios - Oshawa
