On July 15, 2025, our beloved dog Biscuit was rushed to the Veterinary Specialty Hospital after bloodwork revealed life-threateningly low platelet and red blood cell counts. In the days leading up to this, he had stopped eating, developed tarry diarrhea, and even started bleeding from his gums.
After a thorough exam, Biscuit was diagnosed with ehrlichiosis (a serious tick-borne illness) and severe thrombocytopenia. His condition is critical, and without proper treatment, it can quickly become fatal.
Biscuit has been a cherished member of our family for the past eight years and my best friend since I was eleven years old. He’s brought us endless love, comfort, and joy. We’re doing everything we can to give him the best possible care, but his medical bills have already exceeded $12,000 — and the costs continue to climb. Unfortunately, this has become more than our family can afford on our own.
Any contribution — big or small — will go directly toward Biscuit’s treatment and recovery. Even just sharing this page would help out greatly.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
