Hi! We are BisCaydence, an a cappella group from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. The group, which was established in 2011, features some of UM's top vocal talent and embodies the spirit of harmonic cohesiveness and school pride through music made using only a collection of human voices.
After being accepted into 2024’s International Competition of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA), we placed at quarterfinals and won two special awards. Josh Mims and Amanda Bencomo received the "Outstanding Soloist" for their duet of Apologize by OneRepublic and Logan Sandefur won "Outstanding VP" for the whole set.
We then advanced to the South Semifinals, and we are so proud to have won 1ST PLACE!! In addition, our group received two special awards. Logan Sandefur, Julia Barrist, and Jason Fieler were honored with the "Outstanding Arrangement" award for their remarkable creation of our set and Angelina Corbin received "Outstanding Soloist."
We are beyond thrilled for the opportunity to compete in this year's ICCA Finals in New York City, and could not have made it here without all of the love and support from our friends and family. Being a student organization, we have very limited financial resources and are hoping you feel inspired to donate in support of BisCaydence!
With your generous donations, we aim to assist all 16 members in financing this once-in-a-lifetime experience to compete with the top 10 a cappella groups of the world!
Depending on how many donations we receive, these are a few goals we hope to achieve:
- Accommodations for NYC
- Airfare to NYC
- Recording of the ICCA set
- Music video for the ICCA set
Your contribution, regardless of its size, would mean the world to us. We are eager to share our passion for music with you and the world at large. We cannot wait for Finals! Ride the Wave
