What Is the "Birthday Tree Planting Cake" Project?

The Birthday Tree Planting Cake initiative is a unique program by WM Smile Generation Uganda Limited . Every child celebrates their birthday by planting a tree and caring for it for a year, turning each birthday into a gift for the Earth and a lesson in responsibility. This project is at the heart of our new environmental funding campaign!

Sustainable Agriculture Training: Practical eco-skills for children and families.
Start a Climate Research Center to deepen understanding and solutions for local environmental challenges.

Joseph’s Story: From Shelter Under a Tree to Planting Forests

Joseph Bumpenje ’s journey is one of resilience. After losing his childhood shelter, a tree, he and his siblings made a promise to plant trees every year as a tribute. Now, as a teacher and climate speaker, Joseph leads this project to help vulnerable children and restore Uganda’s environment.
