Help Us Escape to Camp Buckwood for a Birthday Reset

Hi friends,

We’re reaching out with hopeful hearts and a small wish: to spend a few peaceful days camping in nature to celebrate both of our birthdays. After a really tough winter and a year of financial stress, we're dreaming of a little break to reconnect, recharge, and just breathe again.

Our destination? Camp Buckwood in Indiana—our favorite place to unplug and feel grounded. It’s not just a beautiful, welcoming campground... it’s also only a few miles from the original farmstead my family settled in the 1730s. There’s something deeply healing about being near that land, and getting to share it with my partner makes it all the more special.

Unfortunately, like last year, money’s tight. We didn’t get to travel or take a break at all, and between work, bills, and life just happening, a little getaway felt totally out of reach. But this year, we’re holding onto hope.

We’re hoping to raise $ to help cover:

Campsite fees at Buckwood

Gas and basic travel expenses

A few camping gear upgrades (tent, sleeping bags, etc.)

Simple groceries and birthday treats

We’re not asking for luxury—just a few quiet nights under the stars, with each other, and some much-needed peace. We’re just two people trying to hold onto joy and celebrate life after a rough patch.
