For my birthday this year, I've decided to raise funds for a nonprofit I volunteer with called 100Books Initiative. I've been volunteering with this program for 5 years and have witnessed firsthand how much it has helped my students, who live in a small village in India, with their English.

The program provides a phone and a 100 books. Students read the books and complete associated flashcard sets on the Quizlet app. They share their recordings with me on WhatsApp and I send them corrections. As they complete a certain number of books, they earn certificates. I am in awe of my students' motivation - they show up at 6 AM in the morning to read!

I sponsor the program at a school I teach at currently. I would love to bring the program to additional schools.
