It’s my Birthday month. I couldn’t be more grateful for the life that I have made for myself and my family of misfit equines!
Haflinger Haven is not a 501c and is soley funded by me. I do get a few donations now and then but I don’t look for them….
Except for in November!
If anyone would like to help the cause I will list a few numbers that can be called to make a payment, or buy a gift card, of any size. I also have a few wish lists where items can be ordered and sent here.
I wish I could have a click to “buy a bale”!!! Hay, fuel, farrier, etc are always big expenses.
Every horse that comes here gets a full exam, teeth floated, vaccines and any X-rays or blood work needed. Often they have untreated ailments or basic neglect that takes months to overcome. Then they get regular trims and corrective shoeing as needed. I have a trainer that will see any problem horses and evaluate some hopeful candidates. Some will thrive and be able to find homes and their own families. However, most stay, due to the types of horse I look for to buy, (think Babe, Barbie, etc). Some come with a Buddy and one seems to always have issues and I won’t separate life long partners so they both get to stay. Lol
Then there are the ones that get all of that and still end up needing to be put to rest. It’s an extremely expensive and extremely rewarding venture here, but it is not without sadness.
If you would like to make a donation of any sort I would be MOST grateful.
In any case thank you for following my page and sending me your stories and leads on horses that need help.
Much love to all from me and the ponies! ❤️
