Birth Doula for the new babe!

Hello Family and Friends!

 

We are raising funds to pay the fees for Linda, our lovely doula, along with a few other birthing expenses! Our new little one is due May 21st and we are excited to attempt another unmedicated VBAC. Linda was able to attend Tomas's birth as my doula and she truly made the experience of his birth smooth, easy and joyful. I would love to be able to have Linda attend me during this birth and bring the same supportive and caring love to our journey.

 

What is a doula, you might ask?

 

A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to a mother before, during and shortly after childbirth to help her achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.

 

Countless scientific trials examining doula care demonstrate remarkably improved physical and psychological outcomes for both mother and baby. Doulas have a positive impact on the well-being of the entire family.

 

For my birth with Tomas, Linda arrived at my home while I was in the beginning stages of labor. She stayed with me and accompanied me to the hospital and continuously provided physical, emotional and informational support to Agustin and I until several hours after the baby was born. We felt safe, supported and nourished by her presence. She truly made the difference in Tomas's birth being a wonderful experience where I felt safe and at ease to let my body labor as needed. I would love to have her back for this birth!
