Birr Festival of Music

Birr Festival of Music, postponed from May Bank Holiday, is delighted to present some of its 2020 programme highlights online!

From 11-13 September, join us virtually for three very special streamed performances:
Friday 11: Music in Birr Castle with Rachel Goode
Sat 12: Music in Birr Castle with Ann Hogan
Sun 13: The Trench Award 2020 at Birr Theatre & Arts Centre featuring six of the Midlands young singers and musicians performing for valuable bursaries to support them in their further study here in Ireland and abroad.

Our accompanist over the weekend is Dearbhla Collins and our adjudicators for The Trench Award are Bruno Caproni and Julian Evans joining virtually from their base in Italy.

With the performance careers of all musicians and singers devastated by the current pandemic, the continued support of all our funders is crucial to assisting both established and up and coming Irish artists in their futures.

Birr Festival of Music is deeply grateful to be able to channel this support to artists, as they enhance our lives with their incredible talent.

We will continue to seek new and exciting ways of presenting their performances live and online and with your support we will be able to do that.
